DISCLAIMER
EFFECTIVE FROM 16-MAY-2000

1. TERMS

"The Site" refers to the Virus Help Team Canada site and all it's mirror sites.

"The Webmaster" refers to the webmaster of the Canadian Virus Help Team Canada, Charlene.

"VHT" refers to all the Virus Help Teams, worldwide, which as of this writing, includes such teams as Denmark, Netherlands, and Canada. VHT refers also to their respective members, including myself, Charlene.

"User" refers to you, the person viewing this site. "Software" refers to all programs and data downloaded from this Website.

"Viri" refers to all viri, worms and trojans, and other types of programs/data intended to destroy a users programs/data/ hardware.


2. CONDITIONS OF USING THE SITE

2.1 All attempts are made to make sure that the information contained in The Site is as up-to-date and accurate as possible. However, neither VHT nor our webhoster, shall be held responsible for any damage to the Users computer systems or software/data/hardware, or injury or death, as a result of using The Site, or following the advice given in The Site.

2.2 The Users IP is logged when The Site is accessed. Any misuse of The Site will be reported to the Users ISP.

2.3 The Site may only be accessed by the index.html file. Any other method of viewing the site will constitute hacking into The Site, and shall result in prosecution under US or Canadian law.

2.4 Usage of The Site constitutes agreeance of these terms.


3. CONDITIONS REGARDING THE SOFTWARE

3.1 The Software provided to the User by way of The Site is provided "as-is". The VHT and webhoster are not responsible for Viri, or instabilities within the Software, which may damage the Users software/data/hardware.

3.2 All attempts are made to make sure that the Software that is contained on The Site is as up-to-date, and is as intact as when it was compiled and archived. However, the VHT and webhosters shall not be held responsible for damage to the Users computer systems or software/data/hardware, or injury or death, as a result of downloading and/or using the Software.

3.3 Downloading and/or using the Software from The Site constitutes agreeance of these terms.


4. CONDITIONS REGARDING LINKS TO/FROM THE SITE

4.1 The VHT and webhosters are not responsible for the quality nor the content of sites which link to, or sites which link from The Site.

4.2 Links to and from external sites (i.e., links to sites other than The Site) are not monitored, and the VHT is not responsible for inaccurate/broken links.

4.3 Following a link to/from The Site constitutes agreeance of these terms.


5. MISCELLANEOUS

5.1 Some of the graphics and information on The Site are ©1999 James Lowe, and some are ©2000 by Charlene McNulty. Usage of VHT-CAN (Canada) logo is permitted, provided that it remains unmodified other than the file format.

5.2 The information on The Site may be used on external sites, under the condition that unmodified other than deletion of certain words/sentences/phrases/paragraphs, provided that none of the HTML tags are retained, and the information does not undermine the VHT. In addition, the VHT (Canada, Denmark, Netherlands - as such) must be credited with the information, and linked to.

5.3 The terms and conditions in this disclaimer are binding. A breach of these terms will be considered prosecutable under the appropiate acts in US or Canadian law.

5.4 Usage of The Site constitutes agreeance of these terms and conditions.
